My only regret is; I Didn’t Find Them Sooner! I took my Chevy Truck to another shop where I was given an estimate of $ 850.00 to repair an issue with my right front wheel and steering. I decided to take my vehicle into ABC Transmission & Auto Care for a second opinion. The mechanic put my truck on the lift to examine the problem. The owner himself personally walked me out to my truck, showed me the problem with my steering (while the truck was on the lift), and gave me his estimate. Parts, Labor, and taxes: ABC charged me $ 118.00 out the door!!! I could not believe it! I have owned and/or leased many vehicles over the last 23 years in Jacksonville to provide vehicles for my family, business, and/or employees. I have used numerous auto repair services from Phillips Highway, to Jacksonville Beach, and up to the Airport. Each time I found a mechanic I liked and felt that I could trust; it only lasted for two or three years before they changed jobs or got relocated. Great People & Great Service!! I stopped in to ABC Transmission & Auto Care / auto Body to get a tire leak fixed. I received great personal and fast service that was pleasantly inexpensive. Then, the owner of the shop noticed my engine was not running properly. He asked me to pop the hood then spent some time diagnosing my car's problem. In a short period of time, He was spot on with his assessment (which I already knew from paying another typically less considerate/auto-shop lots of cash to give me the same exact information). Instead of trying to gauge me for expensive repairs. he offered in expensive alternative and even called the auto-parts store for me to make sure they had the product I needed. Long story short, I followed the shop owner's advice. My car which is over 23 years old is now running far better thanks to ABC... I feel confident it will last quite a while longer. Great auto-repair shop - very knowledgeable with old school virtues! THANK YOU!
